The defense of the coast is another section which shows the most important aspects of the coastal fortification in the 16th century :
The fortress and the whatch tower are framed in a historical context , using modelsand graphic material accompanied by a selection of materials which come from the restoration work .
The arts of the sea is another of the most important themes in the museum . Aspects such as fishing , sailing , propulsion , shipyards , navigation and manoeuves , in addiction to a room dedicated to the salt flats completes the exhibition , wihich shows the sea to be the fundamental axis of the economy and activity in Santa Pola.
