The
sea museum is located in the fortress, a jewel of Renaissnce art,
built in the 16th century wich is being completely restored in order
to be used for cultural activitis .
The
museum houses a monografic exhibition Vich focuses on santa pola`s
history and has six main themes:
Prehistory , The Iberians , The Portus Illicitanus, The Fortification
of the Coast , Fishing end the Salt Flats .

The
visitor begins a tour in Vich the Cave of the spidors ( 3rd 4th
Millenium )is the main atraction .The visitor can see a reprodusctioon
of the cave whithhurting and fishing tools , a fire place an the
natural surroundings.
